Biography 

Mr. Om Prakash Patidar is a distinguished Higher Secondary School Teacher (Lecturer in Biology) from Madhya Pradesh, India, widely recognized for his innovative contributions to science education, educational technology, biodiversity conservation, and teacher professional development. With nearly two decades of dedicated service, he has consistently demonstrated excellence in teaching, educational innovation, and scientific outreach.

Mr. Patidar began his teaching career on 18 July 2006 at Government Higher Secondary School, Berchha. From 5 February 2012 to 14 January 2016, he served as a member of the District Knowledge Resource Team, contributing to teacher capacity building and academic improvement. He resumed his teaching responsibilities at Government Higher Secondary School, Berchha from 15 January 2016 to 4 September 2018. Since 5 September 2018, he has been serving as a Biology Lecturer at Government Excellence Higher Secondary School, Shajapur, where he continues to inspire students through innovative and technology-enabled learning practices.

Throughout his career, Mr. Patidar has consistently achieved outstanding academic results and has been committed to nurturing scientific temper among students and society. Under his initiative "Science and Society," he has authored and published more than 1,000 science blogs, promoting scientific awareness and critical thinking. His articles have reached over 1.5 million readers from India and many other countries.

To further promote scientific literacy, he authored the book "वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण", encouraging readers to develop a rational and evidence-based approach towards science and everyday life.

A strong advocate of digital education, Mr. Patidar effectively integrates Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into classroom teaching. He actively utilizes Open Educational Resources (OER) such as DIKSHA and NROER for both teacher professional development and student learning. He also enriches classroom experiences using Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), including Augmented Reality (AR), H5P, Kahoot, Quzizz, and Algodoo, making science education engaging, interactive, and learner-centered.

His commitment to environmental conservation is reflected in his work on biodiversity documentation. Together with his students, he has successfully prepared People's Biodiversity Registers (PBRs) for Shajapur, Mohan Barodia, Kalapipal, and Ghattiya development blocks, encouraging local communities to identify, document, and conserve indigenous biodiversity.

Mr. Patidar has actively guided students in numerous prestigious national and international academic programmes, including the Western India Science Fair (WISF), Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition, National Children's Science Congress (NCSC), National Teacher Science Congress (NTSC), India International Science Festival (IISF), Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM), INSPIRE Awards, Science Olympiads, biodiversity documentation projects, astronomy observation programmes, environmental awareness campaigns, science journalism workshops, health awareness initiatives, and National Service Scheme (NSS) activities.

As a resource person and master trainer, he has played significant roles in teacher education and curriculum development. He has served as:

State Resource Group (SRG) Member for NCERT ICT Curriculum in Madhya Pradesh.

State Resource Group Member for NCERT Science and Biology Curriculum under RMSA.

Moderator for the Professional Learning Community (PLC) under RMSA.

State Resource Group Member for the British Council EMPOWER Programme.

Regional and District Coordinator for Science Centre, Bhopal.

District Resource Group Member for Life Skills Education, Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), and the UMANG School Health and Wellness Programme.
